How Many Potatoes?

Question: How many potatoes does Carole use to make the "famous" mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving?

Answer: It depends on the size of the potato.
  • Normal potatoes take around 40-45 to make enough.
  • The really big ones from the farmer's markets can fill the need with about 20 potatoes.
  • But if it is like this one (24.9 pounds) grown in Lebanon, I think just ONE would do it. This may even make the Guinness World Records. I think it might be a little hard to peel.

i think it might be a little hard to cook, too. you would have to cook it in a huge pot outside over a fire. then you could rotisserie your turkey over the same fire...
