Lots of people like to take pictures of themselves imitating the cover. Lots, and lots, and lots of people. In fact, there is a webcam set up so you can see the crosswalk live. If it is daytime there, you can watch for a couple of minutes and you will see a group or two pose for a picture, and almost get hit by cars on this busy street... Watch Here or Here. It takes several seconds for the image to load.
It looks like pedestrians just walk into the street and expect the cars to stop - did it seem like that to you?

i checked the live feed but it was about four in the morning local time and no one was in the crosswalk...
i'll have to try it another time of day.
Okay, I finally saw some people taking pictures of those crossing. But I have seen lots of people just stepping out to the crosswalk without caring who/what was coming!!
