The PS22 Chorus - Staten Island, New York has a famous fifth grade choir. The kids audition and the group changes each year as kids move through the grade levels. They have performed on Good Morning America, Oprah, at the Academy Awards, and several other shows. I don't remember choir (or music class) being this cool - and I am really impressed by the teacher(s) who motivate these kids.

i love how into it all the kids get. lots of cool head bobbing. i may be able to sing and look cool if i did that...
Ditto to inspiring teachers. One of my favorites was "You Can Vote However You Like" during the 2008 election. The kids rap to a popular song, and talk about the advantages of each candidate. If you didn't see it, google it! It's pretty fun.
They are good!
