I still think of rainy days as mini-holidays. It has rained a bit lately, sometimes it will be wet for a few days in a row. The wash by my house is designed to channel the water away from the homes. It is usually completely dry but after a good storm, it is full of rushing water. The water moves fast enough, and is just deep enough that you would not be able to stand up in it - and could not walk across it.
There are items that have been left in the wash that get pushed along with the water until they get stuck against a tree and ripped apart. On this day, there were a couple of shopping carts further downstream. This is the same wash where we put the geocache a year ago. These are a couple of pictures I took a day after the rain.

These are great pictures. It looks like you are standing right in the middle of the wash!!! (Were you???)
It's hard to believe that's the same wash we've been in!
