Cherpumple

You may have heard of a "turducken" - a turkey stuffed with duck which was stuffed with chicken. It takes a bit of work to make and a lot of time to cook, and is most common during Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday meals. The name comes from TURkey - DUCk - chicKEN

If you have never heard of this, it may because you have more of a sweet-tooth. So, here is the dessert equivalent - the "cherpumple". It is a layered cake - with an entire pie baked in each layer. The bottom layer is a spice cake with an apple pie baked in. The middle layer is a yellow cake with a pumpkin pie baked in. The top layer is a white cake with a cherry pie baked in. Cream cheese frosting goes in between the layers and on the top and sides.

The name comes from CHERry - PUMpkin - apPLE. The video is really corny, and the final cake is huge! I think that a single cake with a pie baked in sounds interesting - any of the three layers by itself, but all of them together sounds kind of like mush-cake. Does this sound good to you? Anyone want to try to make one?
