American Places

Happy Independence Day!! Several cities and towns have all-American names. Here are a few of them - by the numbers:

The number of U.S. places named “Patriot”—Patriot, Indiana, population 199.

The number of U.S. places with “America” in their names, with the most populous being American Fork, Utah, population 22,501.

The number of U.S. places that adopted the name “Freedom.” Freedom, California, with 6,000 residents, has the largest population among these.

The number of U.S. places with “Independence” in their names. The most populous of these is Independence, Missouri, with 113,027 residents.

The number of places nationwide with “Liberty” in their names. The most populous of these is Liberty, Missouri with 27,532 residents. Iowa, with four places with “Liberty” in their names, has more than any other state: Libertyville, New Liberty, North Liberty and West Liberty.

I told Adrianne that she should have the baby on the 4th- we could have suggested "special" names. I thought "Liberty" would have been nice :)
