Culinary Gadgets

LIFE has an article about weird gadgets that dealt with food over the years. Check it out for the toaster shooter and several other items. These are my favorites from the slideshow:

Outrageously Deceptive Soup Spoon, 1948
Intended for dinner parties where inedible soup is served. The offending soup is drained away through the spoon's hollow handle, via a tube hidden up the sleeve, into a bottle attached to the leg. Foul odors, meanwhile, are blown away by the propeller. The innocent hosts believe the device is simply for cooling their delicious fare.
The Peastick, 1948

A man eats peas with a mechanical pea-eating device that appears to operate on the same principle as an automatic pistol.
Rounded Stove in Middle of Kitchen, 1956
Everyone cooks together.
