Truck Spillage

Do you remember when it was raining gumballs in the movie Bedtime Stories?

Trucks transport all sorts of items all over the country, and occasionally there are spills. This has inspired a webpage called truckspills.com which contains several interesting spills (and some that are pretty gross). These are a few of my favorite:

5,000 gallons of molasses

Flour. Lots and lots of flour. They did not want to make paste, so they used brooms and leaf blowers to clean this up.

Cash - An armored car lost bags of cash. People gathered the cash and some returned it. Others kept it. When counted, there was about $160,000 missing.
I feel for the clean up crews.

Not too long ago a truck spilled loaves of Tillamook cheese coming down Cedar canyon. I heard of lots of people who drove up as soon as they heard about it, and scoured the canyon, making it home with 2 or 3 cheese loaves each. Not worth it for the cheese, but maybe it would have been worth it for the story.

First of all, I LOVE that movie (Bedtime Stories). These are interesting truck spills- while cleaning up the flour it would go up your nose & in your mouth and I would need to be honest & give ALL the money back, no matter how tempting it would be. Messy no matter what!

what a mess! i think i'd rather clean up the flour than the molasses. and that is a lot of money missing! i thought you were going to say it was all returned. ha!
